History of Donovan Billiards
Over 50 Years of Billiards Experience
David started playing pool in the 1960’s, and because of his passion for billiards, eventually owned and operated two upscale Billiard Rooms as well as several Health & Fitness Centers. He became a member of the BCA, and in 1989 successfully completed and was awarded a certificate for the session” College of Pool Knowledge”, which was taught by Master Instructor Jerry Briesath.
In an effort to further enhance his knowledge and skills to be a better coach/teacher, in 2017 he completed an intensive program, and became a certified instructor/coach with the ACS (American Cue Sports). Never being satisfied with his teaching skills, in 2018 he under took additional training and successfully was elevated to the highest level which is Level IV Master Instructor. Additionally from n 2019-2022 he undertook extensive training and has achieved the level of Master Instructor with the PBIA , originally called the BCA.
Over the last 30 years, he has coached and helped many players to elevate their games with his various pool lesson packages.

Over the last 30 years, Mr. Donovan has won over 100 local tournaments in Maryland, Virginia and South Carolina, and for the last 20 years, he has been ranked consistently in the top 5 % and has finished in 1st place in several sessions, BCA 8 Ball and BCA 9 Ball Leagues in Richmond, VA.
